A former Benicia High School leader is helping to train that school’s next generation of top students.

As a rising senior in summer 2008, Annabelle Prasad created a two-day leadership camp when funding was unavailable for students to attend outside camps.

Last week Panther Camp, as it’s now called, completed its fifth year on the high school campus, with Prasad, now 21, presiding.

“Leadership is something that I’m really passionate about,” she said. “I want young people to take advantage of the potential they have.”
