FAIRFIELD — Solano Community College has secured $12.3 million to install solar arrays on campuses in Fairfield, Vacaville and Vallejo.
After successfully bidding for unused funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the college is set to install around 5 megawatts of solar spread throughout the main campus and two satellites.
The Board of Trustees will discuss accepting the money when they meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and directing staff to work with the Community College League of California on the final details.
