FAIRFIELD — Benicia resident Dana Dean has been appointed to the Solano County Board of Education.
Dean will represent the 3rd Trustee Area, which includes Benicia, parts of south Fairfield, Travis Air Force Base and Collinsville. She will resign from her present position on the Benicia School District board.
The Solano County Board of Education made the appointment on Wednesday. Dean will complete the term of John Galvan, who resigned. With the board’s decision to move to even-year elections, the seat will be on the Nov. 14, 2014 ballot.
