BENICIA — The Benicia school board will discuss Thursday filling the seat left empty by departing trustee Dana Dean.
Dean resigned earlier this month after her appointment to the Solano County Board of Education.
The remaining four board members have three options to fill her position: make a provisional appointment, order a special election, or fail to do either within 60 days and have the county superintendent call an election to fill the vacancy.
