Two Dixon High teens will be getting an early taste of college life this summer while also honing their already impressive art skills.

The night of their prom on April 27, juniors Taylor Day and Catherine Kurtyak learned that they have both been accepted as art scholars in the California State School for the Arts summer program. The two will spend four weeks at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, where they will attend classes and workshops on ceramics and sculpture six days a week while living in the dorms with other art scholars.
