Some may say it will be difficult to match the legacy of her predecessor, but Danielle Storey, Vacaville Unified’s new associate superintendent, appears to be laying the groundwork of compassion and a deeply held commitment to the very of best public education for all, personal qualities and beliefs that marked the long tenure of Shereene Wilkerson.

Storey, whose first day of work was Monday, earned a master’s degree in educational leadership, with an emphasis on social justice. The 44-year-old educator is pursuing a doctoral degree, its culminating project titled “Latino Parental Involvement and Student Achievement.”
