The Solano County Office of Education along with the Dixon May Fair will be sponsoring a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 10.

The annual competition is in its 14th year and provides an opportunity for students to apply their science education to some fun projects.

Students from Solano County middle and high schools will compete in the 14th annual Build a Bridge competition, where bridges made out of popsicle sticks are tested to failure, some withstanding more than 1,500 pounds in the past.
