Fairfield High students earn rewards based on character – Daily Republic

By Susan Hiland

The Fairfield High School gym filled Thursday with students who got rewarded for the good deeds of the year with a game of Let’s Make a Deal.

Fairfield High became a No Excuses University as a part of a Character Education Program implemented three years ago, which means they want to see every student go to college. One of the ways they are working to make this happen is by incorporating good ethical values such as responsibility, honesty, integrity and caring into the fabric of everyday education.

The third annual Let’s Make a Deal awards program gave students the chance to spin the wheel and win prizes, or play a game of Plinko and win prizes. Prizes were donated by staff and local businesses.
