One hundred twenty-five Armijo High School students received certificates in the First Northern Financial Scholars Program on Tuesday.
The financial scholars program, which is sponsored by First Northern Bank at no cost to the school, has had more than 600 students complete the program since 2012, according to a First Northern press release.
“First Northern is proud to be helping these students become the next generation of financially literate adults,” First Northern Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Louise Walker said in the release. “They have the knowledge to make better-informed personal financial decisions today – and in the future – as they enter the workforce, buy their first car and start a family or build their own businesses.”
