The scene may have been familiar Saturday morning at Finney Field, but through the eyes of the Dixon High School faculty, the graduating class at Dixon High is truly beyond compare.
With copious amounts of enthusiastic friends and rambunctious family flooding the stands in support of the special group of seniors, the 259 graduates collectively raised the bar to newfound heights for those who will inevitably follow them.
Boasting a school-record of 44 distinguished scholars, the highest GPA in school history and more than 50 seniors earning a wide range of scholarships, Dixon High Principal Nick Girimonte prefaced the ceremony and deemed this group “the most accomplished graduating class in school history.”
