A public hearing will take place Thursday about the Fairfield-Suisun School District having sufficient textbooks – including newly adopted English textbooks costing about $4.5 million.
State law requires such a hearing.
A report to trustees at their Sept. 14 meeting reviewed costs for English textbooks in K-8 classes and for the ninth through 11th grades.
Superintendent Kris Corey said textbooks for English classes tend to be the most expensive.
