Children in Dixon and countless others throughout the country picked up their favorite books Friday, tasted bright green eggs, and wore red and white stripped hats to celebrate the man who gave the world classic tales like “The Cat in the Hat”, “Oh! The Places You’ll Go”, “Horton Hears a Who” and “The Foot Book”.
