FAIRFIELD — There could be, just maybe, a new Magnus Carlson among the young and talented chess players in Solano County’s middle schools.
At the Second Annual Middle School Chess Competition last week at Green Valley Middle School, chess players of all skills level from Green Valley, Sullivan and Crystal middle schools came together to compete for a first- through third-place prize.
