Daily Republic: Police presence to drop at Suisun City schools

SUISUN CITY — There will be less of a police presence at Suisun City elementary and middle schools next year.

A full-time police officer position patrolling the schools has been cut to a part-time position, the result of budget cuts.

Suisun City Police Chief Ed Dadisho earlier this month informed the district that the city can no longer pay its share of the campus monitor. The city pays two-thirds of the estimated $102,000-a-year school resource officer.
