Daily Republic: Sullivan students, teachers say goodbye on final day

FAIRFIELD β€” There were hugs, tears and long goodbyes after the bell rang for the final time Thursday at Sullivan Middle School.

Felisa Mabini, 14, is an eighth-grader moving on to Armijo High School, but she cried at the thought of her sixth- and seventh-grade friends splitting up to attend other middle schools.

β€œIt hurts,” Mabini said.

In the band room, groups of students hugged, staying long after the bell rang. On Union Avenue, Dylan Saechao said he has a lot of good memories at Sullivan.
