FAIRFIELD — There were hugs, tears and long goodbyes after the bell rang for the final time Thursday at Sullivan Middle School.
Felisa Mabini, 14, is an eighth-grader moving on to Armijo High School, but she cried at the thought of her sixth- and seventh-grade friends splitting up to attend other middle schools.
“It hurts,” Mabini said.
In the band room, groups of students hugged, staying long after the bell rang. On Union Avenue, Dylan Saechao said he has a lot of good memories at Sullivan.
