Erik Mejia wants to touch the stars.
Just a month after graduating from Vallejo High School, the 18-year-old already has big plans to one day become an engineer working on spacecraft or in other areas of the aerospace industry.
“I’m going to Napa Valley (College) for two years, then hopefully transferring to (UC) Berkeley,” Mejia said.
But there’s a slight problem — Mejia is not in the country legally.
