Daily Republic Letters: Many face college dilemma

Earl D. Olson

Fairfield

I have just graduated from high school. As a college prep student I completed the A thru G requirements of the university for admission. I scored above average on the SAT because I was thoroughly taught how to take tests. I completed two years of history/social sciences; four years of English; three years of math; two years of lab science; two years of foreign language; one year of visual arts and two semesters of approved electives.

I wanted to take electronics and computer drafting but the school district eliminated those programs.
