On Nov. 6, Solano County voters will fill three Solano Community College board of trustees seats, including one from Vallejo.The board and the districts that members serve were reconfigured following new Census counts.

Eight candidates will compete for three contested seats. Two incumbents are running — current board president Rosemary Thurston of Vallejo, plus Vacaville resident Phil McCaffery.

A contested seat in Fairfield drew four competitors after incumbent Catherine Ritch decided against seeking a full term. She was appointed in March to replace James Claffey who died Feb. 6.
