FAIRFIELD — With little discussion, Solano Community College trustees approved more than $50,000 in change orders Wednesday for the Fine Arts Building remodel project.
The college district’s governing board voted 4-0 to spend an additional $53,800 in bond money. Trustees Catherine Ritch, Denis Honeychurch and Sarah Chapman did not attend the meeting at the Vacaville center.
This is the second such change order on the project. The previous changes amounted to an additional $87,848, most of which was from unforeseen circumstances, said Yulian Ligioso, vice president of finance and administration. That increases the total price of the project by a total of $140,360 for a grand total of $4.24 million.
