It’s Friday afternoon, and Jan Cox Golovich is hunched over a laptop. As with many teachers, paperwork is her least favorite part of the job.
“It’s the hardest part,” she said, taking a break as business picks up in Panama Red Coffee Company in the Vallejo ferry building.
With 200 students spread throughout the state, keeping track of everyone is a constant chore. On the plus side, Golovich said she rarely has discipline issues.
