Vallejo Times-Herald: Solano College incumbent Rosemary Thurston raises more than opponent

By Sarah Rohrs

In the race for a Solano Community College board seat, incumbent Rosemary Thurston has raised $5,746.99 — far more than her opponent who has pledged to raise less than $1,000.

One-term incumbent Thurston of Vallejo is seeking a second term serving District 3, which includes Benicia, Suisun and a portion of Vallejo on the northeast side.

Voters go to the polls Nov. 6. However, many will cast vote-by-mail ballots, which the U.S. Postal Service will start delivering this week.

Challenging Thurston is Michael Wright of Suisun, a retired administrator from the city of Fairfield’s community resources division.
