On January 31, local educators attended a workshop at SCOE on how to embed technology seamlessly into instruction using the Common Core Standards. Educators learned how students will publish online, critically evaluate Internet resources, and use and understand multimedia’s impact. With the move to Smarter Balanced Assessment, technology permeates all Common Core curricular areas and assessment. Presenters included Geoff Belleau, SCOE’s Program Manager of Instructional Technology, and Eileen Walters, Technology Specialist from the Contra Costa County Office of Education.
