Two CA Jacobs Middle School students are facing disciplinary action after an airsoft gun was discovered on campus Wednesday morning.

The black plastic pellet gun was discovered just before 11:45 a.m. According to Dixon Unified Superintendent Brian Dolan, the airsoft gun, containing three plastic pellets, was brought to school by a male student who planned to sell it to a second male student. The boys may have been playing with it or showing it to friends during a break period, Dolan said. A third student found out about the airsoft gun and informed a teacher, who contacted school administrators. The administrators then called both boys to the office and contacted Dixon police and district officials.
