Several teachers and parents took to the podium Thursday during Dixon Unified’s board of trustees meeting to voice their support for Dixon High interim principal Nick Girimonte, with one describing his leadership as “exactly what Dixon High needs.”

This time of year is when Superintendent Brian Dolan is focused on staffing for the next school year and one of the issues he needs to address is permanently filling the principal position at Dixon High. Girimonte was appointed the interim principal for the 2012-13 school year last July, after trustees opted to non-reelect former principal John Barsotti.
