As other county school district leaders have done, Vacaville Unified trustees tonight likely will approve a measure to consolidate trustee elections from odd- to even-numbered years, which would not only save the district thousands of taxpayer dollars and extend board member terms by one year but it will also take advantage of greater voter turnout in general election years.
When the governing board meets tonight, members will make their decision after a presentation from John Gardner, Solano County assistant registrar of voters.
