The search to replace the outgoing Vacaville Unified School District superintendent has been pared to one candidate, it has been announced.
District governing board president David McCallum on Tuesday said the next step is “a site visit” to where the candidate works and discussions “with other stakeholders,” with whom he or she works.
Declining to name the candidate or where the person works, in keeping with the confidential nature of such matters, McCallum said the selection came after two days of closed sessions, Friday and Saturday, when trustees interviewed a sizable field of candidates.
