FAIRFIELD — The law enforcement wind is blowing a different direction at Solano Community College these days, leaving the status of current police officers up in the air.
Last month, the college’s interim chief of police, Scott Paulin, was searching for his permanent replacement in addition to more officers to beef up the understaffed department. Now, he’s put the skids on the search pending a presentation Wednesday by the Solano County Sheriff’s Office in a bid to contractually take over law enforcement at the three district campuses.
