VACAVILLE, CA – A loaded handgun, extra ammunition, cocaine and a small amount of marijuana were found in the vehicle of a Vacaville middle school teacher Thursday morning, police say.
Arrested on weapon and drug allegations was Willis Jepson Middle School teacher Bobby Chambers, 53, of Chico.
Vacaville police Sgt. Kim Humbert said school officials were tipped off to the contraband by a credible source and a police officer assigned to schools proceeded to investigate. The officer spoke with Chambers who agreed to having his vehicle, which was parked on school grounds, searched, Humbert said.
