FAIRFIELD — Principal Amy Gillespie-Oss quoted F. Scott Fitzgerald as the wind buffeted through Doc Hollister Stadium at Solano Community College.
It whistled through the public address system and created havoc with wayward hair, an occasional fly-away mortarboard that skipped across the field, and whipped up graduation gowns.
No one cared Tuesday evening. Certainly not the 130 Sem Yeto High School graduates assembled on the green, or their friends and family gathered in the stands to see a day that many thought might not ever come.
