Dixon Tribune’s Facebook Wall: Farewell to a memorable class

A jubilant crowd of well over a thousand people filled the stadium seats at Dixon High’s Finney Field Saturday morning to bid farewell to one of the largest graduating classes this community has ever seen.

As Pomp and Circumstance filled the air, 280 Dixon High School graduates clad in green and white gowns, decorative caps, and sunglasses, made their final walk across the field towards the stage listening to the cheers and shouts from family and friends. The home stands shook with excitement and the sounds of blow horns echoed in the air as the teens waved to their loved ones, who held tight to homemade signs, helium balloons, floral bouquets and stuffed bears.
