Martin Ray Arcibal will not only be the first person in his family to graduate from an American high school, but he’ll leave with top academic honors.
“I was overjoyed. I’ve worked hard for the last four years to reach this point,” said Arcibal, 18, and the valedictorian for Vallejo High School.
Arcibal didn’t start off high school thinking he’d be valedictorian. In fact, it was probably the furthest thing from his mind.
