Daily Republic: FSUSD looks at budget surplus for 1st time in years

FAIRFIELD — School district trustees will hear Thursday about a projected $3 million budget surplus that could grow depending on how the state budget shakes out in coming weeks.

The Fairfield-Suisun School District board will get a budget update that includes no cuts for the first time in five years when it meets at 6 p.m. in the district office at 2490 Hilborn Road. A study session, not related to the budget, is scheduled at 4 p.m. and closed session will take place at 5 p.m., prior to the regular meeting.
