Three days into the job, Vacaville Unified Superintendent Ken Jacopetti sees a learning curve but not one necessarily too steeply arced, since he spent two months regularly visiting the school district before John Niederkorn, his predecessor, ended a nearly 40-year career in public education on Sunday.
But in a wide-ranging, hourlong interview at his Educational Services Center office on Wednesday, Jacopetti said his 27 years of public education experience and life’s hard-won, durable lessons keep him humble.
