Marylou Wilson, assistant superintendent of human resources for the Fairfield-Suisun School District, will be appointed superintendent of the St. Helena School District at the May 8 meeting of trustees, the school district in Napa County announced.

“I am thrilled the board of trustees has selected me to be superintendent,” Wilson said in a press release by the St. Helena district. “I am very excited to join a district where all students and their achievements are the top priority.”

St. Helena School District trustees were provided a pool of candidates from which they identified Wilson as having just the right blend of classroom instruction, administrative expertise and proven leadership skills, the school district announcement said.
