No one applied for a vacant Travis School District trustee seat representing Travis Air Force Base.

Trustee John Dickerson said he’s surprised at the response to the vacancy created when Dawn Kirby resigned because of a military move that sent her husband John Kirby to Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.

“I did think there would be more of a public interest,” Dickerson said of the vacant seat.
