Middle school students put school candidates on the hot seat – Daily Republic

Tuesday night marked the third time the many Vacaville School District governing board candidates met in a question-and-answer forum.

This one had a twist, however.

In charge were five Kairos Public School Vacaville Academy middle school students who kept the candidates, minus Deloris Roach, who could not attend, on the hot seat for the better part of two hours with an array of questions that tackled comprehensive subjects such as project labor agreements and special education spending, and of course Common Core standards and independent charter schools, prolific topics in the past.
