The debate surrounding the relationship between independent charters and school districts reached the Vallejo school board during its meeting Wednesday night.
Several parents with Caliber School — a new independent charter in the Vallejo City Unified School District — spoke to the board, demanding the district offer a better school site for the upcoming 2016-17 school year.
The district is offering the use of the former Vallejo Middle School site, while Caliber parents and representatives are eying the former Farragut Elementary School site.
