Solano board applauds top educators – Daily Republic

By Todd R. Hansen

The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday adopted resolutions recognizing Ana Farina as the Solano County Teacher of the Year for 2016-17 and Betty Bradanini as the Solano County Classified School Employee of the Year.

It was the second time Farina has been selected. She teaches psychology and history at Vacaville High School. She has been teaching for 10 years, and was lauded not only for her work with students but with helping all the campus staff. She will now be considered for the state Teacher of the Year honor.

“We know it takes more than teachers, it takes people to run the schools, too,” Supervisor John Vasquez said in honoring Bradanini, who has worked for the Vacaville School District for more than 21 years.
