Angie Avlonitis, Executive Director, was invited to represent Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) and attend the 67th National Security Forum (NSF) at the Air War College (AWC) in Montgomery, Alabama. The annual event, hosted by the Secretary of the United States Air Force, brings together key civic leaders and senior military officers to help strengthen understanding and relationships between military and civilian communities.
The City of Fairfield is home to Travis Air Force Base, and Ms. Avlonitis serves the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District as an educational liaison to Travis Air Force Base. “Ms. Avlonitis’ personal experience growing up as a military child in Germany and Turkey, combined with her commitment to supporting the district’s military students and families, made her the perfect candidate to represent FSUSD and our community at the NSF,” said Superintendent, Kris Corey.
