Superintendent Jane Shamieh presented the School Board this week with some new laws on the books that will be coming into effect over the next year.

Assembly Bill 224 makes it mandatory to provide mental health education for students. The course will include core principles of mental health, defining signs and symptoms, promote mental health wellness, and the ability to identify warning signs.
