The usual indoor Highest Honors awards ceremony gave way Wednesday to an outdoor event for 2022 as the number of 4.0 GPA students surged even as Covid has done.

There were 185 top students on the turf at Ed Hopkins Memorial Field at Rodriguez High School. All of them achieved GPAs of at least 4.0, with most going beyond that. Armijo, Fairfield, Rodriguez, the Public Safety Academy and Early College high schools were all represented.
