More than 150 local youth will gather in Fairfield in September for a program designed to reduce violence.

Known as “The Alive & Free Prescription,” the conference will be hosted Sept. 14, by the Fairfield Youth Commission along with Fairfield Police Activities League (PAL), Kaiser Permanente and other youth service providers. Youth who attend will hear from the San Francisco Omega Boys Club founders and explosre their own experiences and reactions to violence as well as learn powerful techniques and resources to remain “alive and free,” say organizers.
