The Reporter: Solano Community Foundation offers mini-grants for public school teachers

The Solano Community Foundation has announced its 2012-13 Education Plus! Mini-Grant Program for Solano County public schools, grades K-12.

Grants up to $1,000 will be awarded to support innovative, student-based educational projects in one of the following areas: academic mentoring, financial literacy, performing arts, science and technology, and social media.

Funding will underwrite projects that enhance learning, aim to improve student achievement, and augment the students’ educational experience. Selection will be based on how the proposed project will provide a creative, innovative solution to a stated problem or issue in one of these five program areas.
