Most of the students and parents at Dixon Montessori Charter School have known Miss Joanne for years.
Joanne Horigan-Green joined the Dixon Montessori staff in 2008 as a third and fourth grade combination teacher. By the next year, she was teaching a kindergarten and first grade combination class, where she has remained ever since.
Those at the school know her as a teacher, a colleague, and a fellow parent, as her own three children attend the kindergarten to eighth grade school. Now, people will also know her as the school’s director.
