Fairview Elementary School celebrated Black History Month with a choir and dance performance. Directed by Andrea McFarland, the 2nd and 3rd grade choir sang “This Little Light of Mine,” “We Shall Overcome,” and “Lift Every Voice.” Directed by Carmel Onick, the second graders danced to “The Circle of Life” in traditional African costumes and face paint, accompanied by 5th grade students. Fifth grade students displayed their posters of African American biographies.
