Just as they do most mornings, 7-year-old Jessica Gutierrez and her two older siblings were walking to Tremont Elementary Friday morning when the second grader came across a small white pouch on the sidewalk just a few houses down from the school.
The three children were running a little late that day and it could have been easy for Jessica to walk past the zipper pouch. But instead she reached down and picked it up and was shocked when she opened it and discovered it was full of hundreds of dollars in cash.
