A Dixon Montessori Charter School student suffered minor injuries to her arm Monday morning when the bike she was riding to school was bumped by a pick-up truck in a local intersection.

Dixon Sergeant Loren Ellefson said the 9-year-old girl had a scrape on her arm from the fall she took just before 8 a.m. in the intersection of West H Street and North Almond, near Northwest Park. She was one of several children crossing the intersection on their bicycles when a man in a pick-up truck stopped at the four-way stop sign and hit her tire with the bumper of his vehicle. The impact caused the little girl to fall from her bike.
