A group hoping to contact students with money for college will visit Vallejo this month, marking only the second time the program has come to California.

“Im just a man trying to help some children,” said Thomas Ousley, speaking by phone from St. Louis.

Thats where Ousley founded the Infinite Scholars program a dozen years ago. Its mission is to help connect low-income students with the means to get to college, primarily through hosting college and scholarship fairs in the Midwest and the East Coast.
