People applying for the Travis School District seat left vacant with the resignation of Dawn Kirby will be interviewed Wednesday and a new board member appointed – who will then take the oath of office.

Names of people who applied by the 4:30 p.m. deadline Tuesday were not available from the school district.

Kirby resigned because of a military move that sent her husband John Kirby to Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
