A proposal for the Fairfield-Suisun School District to buy the Mission Solano Community Outreach Center at 740 Travis Blvd. won school board approval Thursday.
“We’ve had our eyes on it for many years,” said Kim Van Gundy, director of facilities and construction for the school district.
Mission Solano is offering to sell the 1.9-acre property to the district for the remaining balance of the current loan at the time of title exchange – plus a $160,000 deposit, a report to trustees states. Mission Solano will continue to operate on the site for the next 12 to 18 months and continue to pay on its current loan of $280,000, the report adds.
